Filing a complaint

Real Estate Recovery Trust Account
TREC administers a Real Estate Recovery Trust Account which may be used to satisfy a civil court judgment against a broker, sales agent, or certain other license holders, if a person suffers actual damages caused by an act of that license holder. Eligibility, limits, and procedures are set by statute and rule; details are available on the TREC website.
