Accessibility Statement
What we build to, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something blocks you.

Our commitment
Dallas Apartment Locators Group works to make dallasapartmentlocating.com usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or voice control. Accessibility is treated as part of the build, not a later pass.
Standard we build to
We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. In practice that means:
- Semantic HTML with landmark regions, so screen readers can navigate by heading and region
- One H1 per page and a heading hierarchy that does not skip levels
- A "skip to main content" link as the first focusable element on every page
- Visible focus indicators on every link, button, and form control
- Full keyboard operation, including the navigation menus, FAQ accordions, and image lightbox
- Text contrast that meets or exceeds 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text
- Descriptive alternative text on informative images and empty alt on decorative ones
- Form labels tied to their inputs, not placeholder text used as a label
- Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels on mobile
- Text that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320-pixel viewport width
Known limitations
Embedded Google Maps frames are third-party content and we do not control their internal accessibility. Every map on this site is supplementary; the address, neighborhood boundaries, and commute information are also given in text. If a map is the only way you can get information you need, contact us and we will send it another way.
Alternatives
Anything on this site is available by phone or email. If a page, form, or document is difficult for you to use, call (214) 555-0198 and we will walk through it with you, take your intake verbally, and send your property list in whatever format works best.
Property accessibility features
Accessibility features are property attributes. Tell us what a unit needs to have — step-free entry, elevator access, roll-in shower, accessible parking, visual alarms — and we will tell you which properties state that they have it, and verify it before you tour. Requests for reasonable accommodation or modification are made to the property owner under the Fair Housing Act; see our Fair Housing Statement.
Report a barrier
If something on this site blocks you, tell us what page you were on and what happened. We treat accessibility reports as defects and fix them.
